Upon graduating Philadelphia University Fred Berger worked as an accountant for a period of three years. While Fred gained valuable experience useable in the future. Fred knew that accounting was not for him.
Fred then accepted a Jr. Executive position with a small plastics company in NJ. This company manufactured plastic office products. They were also a plastics converter that sold various types of plastics into many different industries. After two years the current Executive left the firm and Fred became the general manager. Fred’s responsibilities included production scheduling, product design, procurement of plastics and packaging materials, sales, government contracts, overseeing personnel and profitability. During Fred’s 16 years with this organization Fred took several engineering classes at Temple University to help expand his knowledge and proficiency on the job.
